   During the 4th Asia-Pacific Evidence-Based Medicine in Chengdu, 16 to 17 April, 2006, the delegates of 35 medical journals and Chinese Clinical Trial Register (ChiCTR), Ministry of Health Chinese Evidence-Based Medicine Centre, Ministry of Education Virtual Research Center of Evidence-Based Medicine, Chinese Cochrane Centre held a special session about establishing a clinical trial registration and publication mechanism, promoting the whole level of clinical trials in China.   Ottawa Group work meeting was hold at 24th Oct, 2005, during the Cochrane Colloquium, Melbourne, Australia. Participants discussed the international clinical trial register standards. Professor Youping Li and associate professor Taixiang Wu as delegates of Chinese Clinical Trial Register, Chinese Evidence-Based Medicine Centre and Chinese Cochrane Centre participated the meeting.
