Which clinical studies should be registered?

All of studies aim to evaluate the effects on humankind for interventions include drugs, non-drug treatment, instruments and equipments designed as randomized controlled trial or case-control study, or cohort study, or non controlled study or other any observational studies of prevention and treatment studies, prognosis studies, cause studies and diagnostic tests should be registered.

Registration fee

Chinese Clinical Trial Register is a non-benefit organization, the registration fee will be used to maintenance the register running and service, and payment for service cost of international registration platform. Refer to the standard of other registers the registration fee is RMB 1,500 yuan for each trial, extra 200 yuan for those who needs to English translation service.

Any one according to one of these items can apply to discount or exempt for registration:

• Personal project without any funding
• Social welfare or beneficent research project
• Project for degree thesis of medical student include graduate student, postgraduate student

Each study applying to discount or exempt for registration will be evaluated by ChiCTR for its scientific and clinical value, and the applicant should to provide testify materials about funding status of the study.

Steps of registration

• Start application for registration via fill electronic registration form or WORD form download from Chinese Clinical Trial Register website. Email us your filled application form to chictr@gmail.com; or mail us to No. 37, Guo Xue Xiang, Chinese Clinical Trial Register, West China Hospital, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, 610041;
• We will prejudication for whether the suggested project according to the registration criteria;
• If so, a notice for payment will be sent to applicant;
• After registration fee was received, ChiCTR start to work on checkup progress;
• The registration number will be issued at the 15th work day after registration fee was received. The issue time of registration number will be adjusted when the international unique number system work and will be noticed on our website.
